When you have your camera open, you just pinch your fingers open as you would to enlarge anything, and the zoom slider appears.

Tech Tuesday- Camera Zoom
I am afraid that these Tech Tuesday posts are just proving to you how untechnical I am. Ever since the ios5 upgrade on the iPhone, I have not been able to zoom with my iPhone camera. As often happens with each upgrade, features change. However, I could not imagine why Apple would get rid of the zoom feature. They didn't. The zoom has been there all along, it is just now hidden. Don't ask me why.

It took me quite a while to figure this out! And, then I forget and think it doesn't have zoom, so thanks for reminding me :).
ReplyDeleteDoes the zoom (now that you've found it again) give a clearer image than it does on the 3G? I've pretty much given up on zooming and just move the phone as close as I can to what I'm taking a picture of. Someday maybe I'll get to upgrade, but then I'll miss the sleek shape of the 3G. It's all about the trade-offs.
