A House Full Of AHS Grads

A few of us from Ousley Junior High and Arlington High School got together for a weekend at Joy Foster DuBois' home in Corpus Christi last weekend.
Debbie and Karen
We looked at yearbooks and promised each other we hadn't changed a bit.

We ate at Snoopy's on the water. The dophins swam by-just for us.

Eric's group (Joy's husband)  playing at the Irish Pub of Corpus
We  went to an authentic Irish Pub in Corpus.  There was great music and dancing.

Joy and her daughter, Katherine
Katherine was sweet enough to Irish dance for us. She used to compete and is very good. She didn't know the Irish Washerwoman though. ( She probably does under some more official name) When it comes to Irish dancing, that is the only one I used to know.

Of course, we went to the beach.

Joy still had her Bye, Bye Birdie album that the concert choir of Ousley Junior High recorded. I told Barry what a great recording it was and how excellent the singers were. He asked me how much we had to drink. Really, it was very, very good. Mrs. Taliferrio was an amazing junior high choir teacher. How she could put on those kind of productions with junior high kids is beyond me.

A fun weekend was had by all.
